Hatha Yoga is a branch of yoga that emphasizes physical exercises, including postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama), to bring balance and harmony to the body and mind. It is one of the most widely practiced forms of yoga and serves as a foundation for many other yoga styles. Hatha Yoga aims to align the body and calm the mind, preparing practitioners for deeper meditation and spiritual practices.

Walking Stick Yoga was developed by Lori Marsh of Instill Mindfulness.
Walks will take place on Sundays on various trails in the area between April and November. Refreshments will be provided.

Have you heard that sitting for long periods of time increases your risk for cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, chronic pain and stiffness. The Mayo clinic reported that "those who sat for more than eight hours with no physical activity had a risk of dying similar to the risk of dying imposed by obesity and smoking." I suggest that this is not only a problem for office workers but also for others who spend hours sitting in front of TVs, computers and our electronic devices. Join me as we explore gentle yoga moves and flows that can be done at your desk or living room.

This workshop explores this important but often ignored joint and identifies activities and practices that can cause harm and practices that protect the joint.
